Announcing a new Meetup for Beachwood Boardgames:

What: Another Trivia Night

When: Wednesday, April 14,[masked]:45 PM

Fox & Hound Pub
1479 SOM Center Rd.
Mayfield Heights, OH 44124

It's another night of friendly competition at the Fox & Hound Pub in Mayfield Heights (in the Eastgate Shopping Center). The fun starts at 7 pm, so try to get there a few minutes early so we can register our team(s). I'm coordinating an event for the Northeast Ohio Singles group but decided to add this group since I had received several requests to plan another.

How it works:
Teams of up to eight compete to answer five rounds of questions and win prizes. Usually, the first four rounds are general knowledge, and the final round is music-based, like "Name that Tune." Once in a while they'll throw in a category, like "TV Themes" or "Disney Movie Songs." Speed doesn't matter; all teams write their answers down and submit them after each round. If we get more than eight players, we'll split the group into smaller teams. There's always plenty of time between rounds to socialize, too.

Did you say prizes?
The host awards door prizes to random teams after each round (free food, t-shirts, etc.). The team with the highest score after all five rounds are played wins a prize. In the past, winning teams have won things like comedy club or sports tickets.

Is there a cost?
There's no cost to play, but I'm sure the restaurant would appreciate if you order some food and/or beverages. They have an extensive menu.

And it doesn't matter if you think you're no good at trivia. Everyone knows more than they think. So remember to file your tax return and then come out and join us. If you have to be a "Maybe" that's ok, but if we don't know you're coming, and you come late, you might find yourself on a team of 1.
