CEO Series - How Apptentive Uses Open Source as a Business Strategy

If you ask people in startups, "Would you make your code open source?"  For most, the answer would be a big "NO."

In this talk, Robi Ganguly, CEO of Apptentive, shares the story behind Apptentive's decision to open source part of their technology.  Robi will talk about how going open source has improved customer relationships and involved customers more deeply in the company's success while accelerating the growth of the business.

Furthermore, since Apptentive's business is providing the easiest way for any company with app to talk with their customers, Robi will also share Apptentive's approach to communicating with its own customers and involving them in the building of the company.

About the speaker: Robi Ganguly is the co-founder and CEO of Apptentive, the easiest way for anyone with an app to talk with their customers.  Apptentive, founded in 2011, recently graduated from TechStars Seattle and counts companies like Yahoo!, Urbanspoon and Chewsy as customers, along with hundreds of others.
