Thanks to MoDevTablet for sponsoring this month's newsletter! If you would like to attend their Aug 15-17 event for a discounted price, see below (I will be there on August 16).
Tomorrow @ 7: Funding Quest with Bryan Brewer
Aug 7 @ 7 - "The Feedback Machine: Deep Customer Discovery" with Greg Meyer - CEO Series
Greg Meyer is a serial startupper, having been part of 2 acquisitions in 2 years (Gist > RIM and Assistly > Salesforce). He understands a lot of what it takes to build a meaningful business, but he is most passionate about deeply understanding of target customers…
Aug 12 @ 6 -"Hiring Your First Employee: Legal Basics Every Founder Should Know" with Carter Mackley - Legal Series
Employees are essential to growing a healthy business, but poor human resource management or failure to comply with regulatory requirements can be one of the most significant expenses dragging your startup down…
CTO Series – mystery guest (aka-we are working on it but it is going to be awesome!:)
Aug 22 @ 7 Design Clinic
This is the first event for the design clinic, so it is a bit of an experiment. We have one designer who will be reviewing some content from one startup. We had done something like this at the Microsoft Accelerator, and it was valuable. We will keep tuning the format until we figure out something that works. If you would like to attend as a designer (ie-providing feedback) or a startup (ie-receiving feedback), please follow up with Swapna Kakarlapudi <[address removed]>.
