CTO Series on Wednesday, Janis' Presentation, EI Fundraiser, more

Matt D.
Bellevue, WA
Come to the warehouse on Wednesday at 7:00 PM to hear Paul Ingall's talk about the life of a CTO, from the first days to the transition to new leadership. More details here:

Janis Machala's presentation was a big hit, with some VERY positive feedback provided by several participants (like "Highly experienced and knowledgable. I could have listened for hours." -- seriously, where have you ever heard somebody volunteering to listen to somebody else for hours!). Here is a link to her slides:

Help Eastside Incubator help you. We are doing a push to cover the last $6,000 of expenses for EI through October 31, 2012. If you are willing to help keep the wheels on this startup bus, please check out this flyer:

Design Meetup: Our first design meetup was fun, with 15 startups and 0.0 designers showing up to talk about design. Mei Lu of has helped line up some serious design talent for the second meetup, so we expect to have at least as much fun. The time is Friday, May 25, noon to 2. Here are the details:

Rails Meetup: We are piloting an informal Rails Meetup on Wednesday afternoon, 3-6 at the warehouse. Bring your laptops, your questions, and your genius, and make some progress on your rails app or service.

Josh Ledgard of is talking about "Getting Your First 998 Customers" on Wednesday, June 6, for our next installment of the CEO series.

Things are picking up at the warehouse, and we would love your help in figuring out where we should focus our efforts. We are connecting with lawyers, accountants, iPhone developers, .net developers, lean startup experts, investors, and more. Expect more meetups and workshops to come online soon. If there is something that you are looking for, please let us know. Even more, if there is something that you are willing to lead, give me a call.
