Enjoy the weather! Hit the trails and enjoy Blading/Bicycling as a group. Take advantage of FREE BIKE RENTALS at Marymoor Park (see below)...

We'll mostly frequent Marymoor Park Trails, but also meetup and carpool to Alki and Greenlake Trails for some diversity in trails and scenery.

Hi Skating/Blading/Bicycling Enthusiasts,

I've been thinking of how much fun we had in Chicago blading and biking as a group down the lakefront paths. So, I thought we could get something like that going here on the eastside. Folks can bring their blades, bikes (or even rent bikes for free at Marymoor >>> see below...).

Some of you may or may not know the super cool free bike rental resource we have at Marymoor park. You just sign up Mon/Fri for a swipe card with park office and you can then Swipe your card at automated lockers and rent a bike for free 7 days a week near the velodrome! Check it out:

For now I figure we can have fun like this:

Meetup at the 'Recreation & Event Area' (See Map in meetup), this is between the Velodrome and the Cricket Field. It's a great big paved area free of cars and traffic and awesome for beginners to learn blading.

Beginning bladers can practice and get tips and tricks from the experienced bladers for the first hour.

Beginning bladers that don't feel like they're ready to keep up with bikers on their blades can change into their bikes or rent free bikes at the velodrome lockers (if they didn't bring their own).

Then the experienced bladers and all bikers can hit the trails for a blood pumping (but still relaxed pace :- ) cruise on the trails.

Some bladers may want to stay at the recreation area and continue practicing their blading...

Some alternating meetups, I was hoping we could all meetup at Marymoor park Velodrome (pickup free Bike Rentals for those that need them ;- ) ... and carpool over to Greenlake or Alki for a change in trail scenery.

Well, that's the initial plan for now, until we get a consensus of group members that want to start tweaking it ;- )....
