Let's get out and feed our souls some culture every month, why not? It's FREE.
There may even be a free guest lecturer we can take advantage of. The Bellevue Art Museam offers Free admission every first Friday of the month from 11 am - 8 pm. And to really make this an evening out, we can meet for Happy Hour before and/or a late dinner (or another happy hour) afterward. There are lots of choices!
This is generally a self hosted event. To help the group find each other, I suggest that people meet in the lobby (either at the center bench or the reception desk). You can also print out a meetup sign or name tag for you to personalize.

Free First Friday Lecture Series: The Cloth of Protest with Rock Hushka

Visit BAM Biennial 2012: High Fiber Diet and join us for a discussion with Tacoma Art Museum Director and artist Rock Hushka. Hushka will discuss how textile traditions and practices have informed his current practice, ranging from the installation of narrative tapestries in medieval churches through the banners used for the suffrage movement to the recent surge in activist knitting.
