Announcing a new Meetup for Eating Paleo in NYC!

What: Coney Island Polar Bear Swim on New Year's Day

When: Saturday, January 1,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Coney Island
Surf & Stillwell Avenues
Brooklyn, NY 11224

Nothing cures a New Years hangover like a polar bear swim. Come join thousands of people on New Year's Day to jump into the Atlantic. Cold exposure is an excellent acute stressor with health benefits: adaptation to the cold, improved immune system, and you get a great adrenaline rush and metabolic response. Followed by music and hanging out on the Coney Island boardwalk.

A lot of people wear crazy stuff.

I forgot how much it costs -- it's something like $25 for charity.

- Take the D, N, F, or Q to Coney Island - Stillwell Avenue. Plan for an hour and fifteen minutes if coming from Manhattan.
- Walk down to the boardwalk

We'll get a meeting spot closer to the event.
