The Power of Now, Chapter 9: Beyond Happiness and Unhappiness There is Peace

On May 27, 2014 we will dive into chapter 9 of the Power Of Now: “Beyond Happiness and Unhappiness There is Peace.” We will learn that happiness depends on the conditions being perceived as positive, while inner peace does not. When we are fully conscious, drama does not come into our life anymore. When we live in complete acceptance of what is, that is the end of all drama in our life. We can still make our point but there will be no reactive force behind it, no defense or attack. This is a beautiful chapter and we are inviting you to join us!

We recommend that you read each Chapter in advance and come prepared to discuss your reflections, opinions and questions. Handouts will be presented and a corresponding audio/video segment will also be likely played and discussed during the meeting.

Please RSVP and join us!

I, like lady who was sitting beside me, about the apparent lack of active purpose when living in the "now"..But I will attend again next time to give this a fair hearing. See you in two weeks.

Thanks Carole; yes, everyone needs to find their own path to enlightenment, Eckhart's is just one of many. They all point to the same truth, just their means and tools vary. There are many seekers, and so few finders, but as Eckhart said on the concept of spiritual journey, the term ‘seeker' suggests we are looking for something we believe we do not have now. It places all hope on the future because as a seeker, we haven't yet found our salvation. He encourages us to experience the truth of who we are by being present right now. If we do that, we don't have to seek anything, we realize that we are the finder already. We already have everything and can relax and rejoice in the power of being. Hope you join us again!
