Eckhart Tolle & Conscious Living Group, Jacksonville, Florida
Is there a difference between happiness and inner peace?
Happiness depends on conditions being perceived as positive; inner peace does not.
This group’s objective is to create a positive and peaceful environment where together we can listen to, watch and talk about the consciousness and awareness teachings and explore ways in which we can apply them in daily life. The group is based on Eckhart Tolle’s teachings but will not limit the tools of spiritual wisdom to one author.
Who can attend?
While we recommend that you are familiar with with Eckhart Tolle’s teachings, if you are just a seeker of awakening, inner peace and fulfillment, you are welcome to join this group. We will ask you to RSVP for each meetup through this page so we can plan our meetings accordingly. Please, when you sign in do not include website addresses or promotional information. Thank you so much.
The meeting format will be flexible. We plan to read selected segments from Eckhart Tolle’s books, share segments from our Eckhart Tolle audio and video collection, and facilitate a light discussion about our experiences with studying and applying his teachings in our daily lives. Should the group desire some meditation time at the beginning or end of our meeting, we can plan for that as well.
How much does it cost?
Currently the meetings are FREE and there are no plans to change that. Support offerings towards our costs for the audio and video collection as well as maintaining this meetup page are welcome but not essential.
When are we meeting?
We plan to meet bi-weekly for ~1.5 hr. Currently, the group is meeting at the Regional Public Library/Southeast Branch in Jacksonville. The meeting room size differs and can be sometimes limited so RSVP early. Meetings are announced on this page so check the page often.
"Whether or not you are engaged in a lot of "doing" in your life, "being" is primary. If you lose touch with being, you lose yourself in your mind, you lose yourself in doing, and you won't do any good for anybody, really." Eckhart Tolle. We look forward to having you join us in “being” and hope that you will feel welcome and will enjoy our gatherings.
