Ketogenic diets: immunity; mortality and diabetes long-term data
(video presentation)A ketogenic (high fat, low carbohydrate) diet has been shown to be useful for the treatment of epilepsy [1]. Studies linking cellular respiratory dysfunctions as the root cause of cancer also suggest that a ketogenic diet can be a helpful tool in metabolic therapy [2]. But the long-term health effects of a ketogenic diet are unclear.
We shall follow Roger Seheult MD , as he explains a new study comparing the effects of a vegan and ketogenic diet on the immune system. We shall also look at his interpretations of long term data regarding mortality and diabetes associations with various low-carb diets.
Roger Seheult, MD is the co-founder and lead professor at https://www.medcram.com/?utm_source=Y... He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and an Associate Professor at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine.
