I just think that we have to do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint and make cities more amenable to conscious living. I'm not sure that I'll get over there to DC, unless I can snag myself a Prius or find others to carpool with (to come

What resources would you like to donate?

Not sure.

In which area would you be most fulfilled contributing?

Not sure.

What skills or experience would you share?

Not sure.

Have you had prior experience in community living?

Well, I spent 4.5 years in a Zen Monastery in the Catskills. We heated a large building with wood from the 1400 acres surrounding the Monastery. If I ever hit the lottery, I am going to offer to redo the whole place with Solar Panels, though it is so far north and 1400 feet altitude, so they will still need to use wood and be on the grid. I'm not sure that I want to live in a "commune" or co-op situation at this time, but I find that there is nevertheless a lot of value to interacting with such a group.

What is your primary motivation for joining this Meetup?

I think that everyone needs to work together to solve our ecological and sociological "ills." I am interested in learning more about what I can do to help.

Dont mean to make it sound like a bad place. It will be our own room, our own restaurant, basically. Lots of room for being conversational. She's going to set it up for us specially.

Hi Marcie, I think it is going to turn into a family style dinner, Italian food, probably at a local cafe. NO one has room for us. Anyhow, It will be $20 a person. And if you want wine, you can bring a bottle to share. I am going to post this soon as I am sure about it. Hope that is in your price range.

Marci, there's another ASS meetup soon! Would you still like to attend? I think I'll get to go and my son and husband will go, too. It was great riding back with you, too! Do keep in touch!

Marci, thanks for demonstrating your commitment to sustainability by signing up. Even if you don't make it to the meetup, we welcome your Zen consciousness and whatever degree of involvement you choose.

Hi Marci, Thanks for the shout out. It's actually a scooby doo doll wearing a pumpkin suit and when you squeeze him he says "I love chocolate!"

LOL nice shout out to me. The pic was after the Ravens Eagles game. The shoe was being held by Jevon Kearse who I cut out of my pic. Some kid gave it to him to autograph while I asked him for a pic. Those are footballs coming out of my head and a green boa for the Eagles. Now where's your pictures? :-)

Hi, Marci! Thanks for the welcome! The photo was taken at the Petrified Forest in Sonoma County, California. The bear is petrified (like anyone approached by him.... ha ha). Check out the website....
