Dinner and Travel! -Harold Goyette, AIA, AICP became a dedicated traveler in 1950 when he joined the navy; subsequently, he graduated from Harvard with a Masters degree in Architecture.
During his career of more than 20 years as director of the Harvard planning office, Harvard developed extensive land holdings and added an array of buildings, including the Science Center, Holyoke Center and a variety of residential and athletic facilities.
After leaving Harvard, Hal and his wife Doris established their own planning and architectural firm, Cole & Goyette, at 540 Franklin St. in Cambridge.
As architects both Hal and Doris traveled the globe with an architect’s eye for conferences, business, and tours; and a month ago Hal created a movie for the Harvard Travelers Club which condensed their 50 years of travel into a 12 minute film. The movie covers many of the major architectural marvels of the globe which range from the Temple of Karnack to the I. M. Pie Louvre entrance.
You will enjoy the movie and then Hal will answer any questions.
