I am investigating STEM education. The schools do OK with M, bad with S, and no T and E at all. The AP Computer Science curriculum is terrible. We are training our kids to compete with $40,000/year Indian programmers. We need to fix it.
I teach technology at SIL, a small private high school in Los Altos, and am looking for ways to help a broader student body.
I am an employer in Sunnyvale. I hire technical people, and I am surprised that the public school system in Silicon Valley does not teach any of the skills that I look to hire.
