The most welcoming and active Backgammon group in Scotland. We aim to promote and encourage backgammon playing at every level. We have beginners and we have reognised international players.

However we also believe that backgammon will not return to the popularity of previous decades unless we  encourage new players and less experienced players into the game.

For this reason Edinburgh Backgammon is keen to have new players and beginners as well as the more experienced players. Everybody was a beginner once and playing face to face games is the best way to make progress.

There is a charge of £ 2.00 per session. This covers costs and allows a small prize fund.

Our sessions will include opportunities for tournament play as well as backgammon workshops and opportunities to play some of the backgammon variants.

Above all Edinburgh Backgammon sessions will continue to provide fun, social backgammon for all.
