Since its my Birthday on June 30th, and since I love sushi, I thought I'd combine the two for a fun evening. I did a similar class in Virginia about two years ago and still have my kit but I thought being taught by a master sushi chef again might sharpen my skills a bit.
I have arranged for Harajuku to be open on Monday just for us and for us to have all the ingredients provided for as well as staff to teach us to make rolls (maki sushi) and nilgiri (sushi pieces). They usually charge £50 pp but I've negotiated a price of £35 pp and you will be able to sample your own creations as well as take home any extra's you have made. This is a BYOB place so we will bring a bit of cheer to make it a special night.
While sushi looks simple, there is definitely an art to making it look and taste lovely, Harajuku staff have served the Japanese embassy here and has a really good reputation for lovely food.
