I have added a Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura and Chicken Teriyaki option for those who are not keen on raw fish sushi.
We did a sushi class awhile back so now is the time for us to try and make our own. This is the third Dinner48 (Dinner For Eight) event whose concept is to have a light hearted dinner to mingle more intimately with our fellow Foodies and get to know each other better.
For this event I will purchase the freshest ingredients I can find both fish, shrimp, tempura, vegetables, etc and have it ready to roll/make your own sushi for the evening. If anyone has any advice (I have not done this myself before) about preparation of the fish I am happy to take it. I will make the sushi rice and prepare the ingredients and would appreciate some help the early evening of the event for communal prep.
Ebi - Shrimp
Tamago - Sweet Egg
Maguro - Tuna
Unagi - Teriyaki Freshwater Eel
California Roll - Crab Avocado Cucumber
Inside Out roll - Tempura Vegetables and sesame seeds
Dragon Roll - Tempura Shrimp, Eel or salmon and cucumber
Salmon Roll - Salmon and Cucumber with spicy mayo
Cucumber Roll - Cucumber and rice
As with other Dinner48 Events please BYOB/C either a bottle to share or a cocktail to share with the other guests. Dress is casual smart as it is a dinner party. We will try and even out the guests as usual for Dinner48 events. I will select the guests to even out numbers so everyone should join the waiting list and you will be informed when the guest list is complete to make payment. Please note the refund conditions and make payment promptly (within 10 days of notification) as I will need to ensure a complete guest list at least 2 weeks out from the event. I will start selecting guests as soon as sufficient numbers register their interest. If you wish to host an event let me know.
To keep the guest list fresh I limit attendance to Dinner48 events to once a year so if you have attended before please give someone else a chance to attend.
