Located in South Lanarkshire, Little Sparta is the garden of the poet and artist Ian Hamilton Finlay [masked]). It features many poem-sculptures and text-objects in the garden as well as representing an incredible feat of garden-design and landscaping. In equal parts witty and deadpan serious, it is quite unlike any other garden in the world.
As Little Sparta is only open from June-September and on limited days and hours, it's always good to schedule in a visit. I suggest we try to meet up at the carpark, then there is a short walk up to the grounds. If anyone requires a lift there, I guess we can try to do some car-sharing, so do shout out if you can drive and have space in your car.
It is £10 to get into the garden which I believe needs to be paid in cash when you arrive.
