It's Roy Scheider time.. in the atmospheric thriller Sorcerer, directed by William Friedkin and featuring a brooding sountrack by Tangerine Dream.

On reflection possibly one of the best cinema experiences I've had with the group, though admittedly my first reaction was "more sinister!", "more Tangerine Dream!"

Neglected and written off against the original, Friedkin's movie is a brooding, visually stunning epic. An antidote to the generic Hollywood action flick, charged with negative machismo.
A lingering and rarely seen treat.

Agreed. Not the type of film I would usually pick but I fair enjoyed it. Good choice Ewan!
