Spring Full Moon Festivals 2012
Many Transmission Meditation groups will celebrate the three Spring Festivals by holding 12-hour or 24-hour Transmission Meditations. At the time of the Spring Full Moons the spiritual energies are at their most powerful, due to the sun-moon-earth alignment and the potency of these ancient festivals, which provide a unique opportunity for spiritual service. This year extended transmissions, organized by the Edinburgh Transmission Meditation Group, will be held at:
13 Gorgie Park Close, Edinburgh, EH14 1NQ

The Easter Festival – Aries Full Moon
Friday 6 April – 8pm
Saturday 7 April – 12noon (8pm finish)
The first festival of spring, the great western festival, has the keynote of love and is celebrated at the full moon in Aries, the first full moon after the vernal equinox. In the Christian tradition this festival is called Easter, the festival of resurrection. It celebrates the risen Christ and marks a process of rebirth and revitalization.
The Wesak Festival – Taurus Full Moon
Friday 4 May – 8pm
Saturday 5 May – 12noon (8pm finish)
The great eastern festival, which commemorates the enlightenment of the Buddha, expresses the keynotes of wisdom and divine purpose, and occurs at the time of the full moon in Taurus. Wesak marks the high-point in the spiritual year, for it is said that at this time each year, the Buddha returns to the physical plane for a brief moment, bringing an inflow of life and spiritual stimulation to vitalize all of humanity. Pilgrims gather every year in a remote valley in the Himalayas to re-enact an ancient sacred ceremony based on the legend of Wesak, which has to do with the sharing of the waters of life.
The Festival of the Christ or the Festival of Humanity – Gemini Full Moon
Friday 1 June – 8pm
Saturday 2 June – 12noon (8pm finish)
This is the Festival of the spirit of humanity aspiring towards God, seeking conformity with the will of God and dedicated to the expression of right human relations. This is celebrated at the Full Moon of June in Gemini. It will be a day whereon the spiritual and divine nature of mankind will be recognized. This will be a festival of deep invocation and appeal, of a basic aspiration towards fellowship, of human and spiritual unity, and will represent the effect in the human consciousness of the work of the Buddha and of the Christ.
A further day of transmission meditation will take place on the Sunday after each festival (8 April, 6 May and 3 June), starting at 12noon, and will be followed by a worldwide blessing from Maitreya at 3pm.
For the Blessing, hold your attention on the Crown Chakra -- the center at the top of the head -- (this is the only time that the attention should be placed on this center) and sit in silent meditation while the energies flow. You can take part to the blessing wherever you are.
