Meetup Training & Play

Training Clinic Meetups
Clinics focus on the owners learning about tools, strategies and techniques to have their dogs pull on command. The dogs get introduced to this fun new pulling game.
This clinic would be a good step toward the goals of kicksledding, skijoring, bikejoring or carting.
Harness and gear is provided.
Pre-registration is required to ensure enough gear, harnesses, sleds and instructors are available.
This is a one-time session that runs 2 hours in length.
Fee: $50.00 fee per dog and all their people.
Restrictions: Limited to 5 dogs

Training Classes Meetup
Classes focus more on the dog learning and developing a life-long love for pulling. The dog will begin to enjoy being in the ‘lead’ of the team as their person begins to learn to take control as the ‘driver’ of the team with a few simple commands.
Both will develop greater communication and trust by learning to follow through on these commands. We provide training strategies suited to your team as your strengths and skills develop.
Harness and gear is provided.
Pre-registration is required to ensure enough gear, harnesses, sleds and instructors are available.
Sessions are 1 hour per week run over 4 weeks.
Fee: $100.00 fee per dog and all their people.
Restrictions: Limited to 5 dogs

Pull & Play Meetups
Once you have completed a Clinic or Class you can attend a Pull and Play Meetup.
No formal instruction, people just get together and play. Hotdogs, fire and hot chocolate are distinct possibilities depending on locations.
Members are responsible for providing their own gear, or can make arrangements with Trail Dogs for rentals of kicksleds and harnesses.
Pull & Play Meetups can be organized by any member.
Fee: Nominal fee may be charged
Restrictions: None unless otherwise stated by organizer or site management.

Meet & Greet Meetups
Opportunity to promote and introduce ourselves, connect to the general community and talk with those with whom we share the trail. Some of these will include the chance to demonstrate our skills for other groups and organizations.
Members are responsible for providing their own gear.
Non-members are welcome to check us out; handle harnesses and gear, and step on a kick-sled.
Fee: None

Special Event Meetups
These could be whatever members think might be fun. Listening to guest speakers about first aid; bringing in advance trainers, attending or volunteering at races or fundraisers, or just hotdogs and a fire. Please speak up!
Restrictions: None unless otherwise stated by organizer or site management.
