Subject: [Edmonton-Melody-Makers] An Update From Your Organizer
Date: Sat, 3 Dec[masked]:00:51 -0500
I apologize for the inactivity in the last few months. I continue to have chronic problems with both my fretting forearm and voice. No one feels as bad about not being able to play as I do... and believe me, I want to play and sing now more than I ever have!!!
I just got an appointment with an ENT specialist to have a look at my vocal chords. It's still two months away, but it's encouraging. I have not been organizing any meetups because it is frankly depressing to go to open mics or playing circles and see everyone else play when I am unable to.
I promise to get things going again next year, as soon as possible. The vision for this group is still there, and MJ and I have been talking about what we want this group to become.
MJ is going to start a Facebook group to parallel this one. Hopefully we can get more interest that way as well. I will keep you updated on that in the coming weeks.
