Speaker Bio:  

Paul is the founder of Citizen39, a cloud computing consultancy specializing in Microsoft cloud computing services such as Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Windows Azure.

Abstract: 

Microsoft Visual Studio LightSwitch is a development tool used to quickly create data centric software applications for the desktop, web, and cloud. Part of Visual Studio 2013 Professional or better, LightSwitch offers a no-code approach to software development.


In this presentation, Paul will demonstrate how to use LightSwitch to quickly create a line of business applications that are easily published to user desktops, to a web server, or to the Windows Azure cloud.

    I thought it was a great overview. It gave me the incentive to try LightSwitch again. I had played with it in the early days, as well. But, have not followed it as closely. I knew Paul was working with it and would be a great source of information.

    Looking forward to learning more about LightSwitch. I started playing with it when it first came out. I know Paul has done a lot more work with this tool. I was impressed with how fast it could be used to whip up a prototype application. I will enjoy learning about how it has been used to build production applications.
