We will read Inferno by Dan Brown for our October book.

The description:

In his international blockbusters The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown masterfully fused history, art, codes, and symbols. In this riveting new thriller, Brown returns to his element and has crafted his highest-stakes novel to date.

In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces . . . Dante’s Inferno.

Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust . . . before the world is irrevocably altered.

Sorry guys, I have to cancel. I still have a nasty cough, and I don't want to be patient 0 in a city wide thanksgiving epidemic.

Don't worry if you don't finish reading the book. There are many times when people don't get a chance to read it. You can still come for the socializing. :)

Unable to attend as will be out of town. I have not been attending as I usually do not finish the book. When I do finish a book, then I have other obligations. I belonged to another book club that did not want members attending unless they read the book. Looking forward to Nov. meet up.
