Saturday Morning walk in Terwillegar Park - west end of Rabbit Hill Road

Hi, this is a walk we have not done before....let's try the trails at Terwillegar Park. We will meet in the parking lot at 10:15 am and leave at 10:30am. This park has some hilly trails....so be prepared.

Here is some information on the park....this 460 acre park is located in the North Saskatchewan River valley of Southwest Edmonton. Originally operating as a ranch, it was acquired by the city in 1964. There are a multitude of trails to choose from, ranging from easy gravel double-track to technical, rooty singletrack above sheer drops into the river. This is an excellent area for exploring as there are too many trails to use in just one day. From the parking area one can head southwest toward the Anthony Henday overpass and cross the river, or you can go northeast and connect up to Fort Edmonton Park. Terwillegar park itself is an offleash dog park, so expect to see a lot of puppies, although they generally tend to stay in the open meadow area and off the trails. To find the park...follow Rabbit Hill Road Westbound until it turns into a gravel road and descends into a ravine. Parking is at the bottom of the hill.

I enjoyed it and another member's recommendation of a bakery/cafe nearby was right on the money, it was super! Glad we came, my daughter loved it too.

Seems like a very nice group. Great to meet outdoor enthusiasts that are actually out there doing it!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
