Italy: Love It or Leave It!

Metro Weekend Event: First stop is Italy!

This film is in Italian with English subtitles to tell the story of two friends trying to find reasons to stay in Italy instead of leaving, like others have done in search for a better/different life. It is funny and may just make you appreciate Edmonton, Alberta and Canada a bit more as many others have left their countries for our city/province/country for many reasons...

If there is interest, I am open to having coffee/drinks after the film.

I will be at the theatre at 8:45 pm just inside the first set of doors. Depending on the weather, I may wear a black hoodie or a black long coat.

    Interesting counter-narrative about Italy.

I found it refreshing. Usually everything we hear about Europe is that it's a mecca for all things grand and wonderful. They are human after all. Italy is still a beautiful country though and it was told with a great sense of humour.

Just a side note... in case there is any interest... the pub night is having a get together at O'Byrnes on Friday, April 12. If there is interest, we will head there after the film discussion or right after the film!

I've never been there on a Friday evening before. Does it get really noisy there? Would we be able to carry a conversation?

first option for an after film discussion is not obynes... it is a choice after the film discussion if there is interest.
