"At the beginning of the 1970s, Gilles, a high school student in Paris, is swept up in the political fever of the time. Yet his real dream is to paint and make films, something that his friends and even his girlfriend cannot understand. For them, politics is everything, the political struggle all consuming. But Gilles gradually becomes more comfortable with his life choices, and learns to feel at ease in this new society." (from the Metro's website below)
Sounds like fun. Anyone in? Yes, I realize this is during The Fringe, but I really want to see this one.
Meetup time is 6:45pm for the 7pm show. Please meet me in the main lobby of the Garneau Theatre, near the couches. I'll hold a bouquet of artificial flowers so that you can spot me. We can head out afterwards for coffee to chat about the film, if people want.
See you then!
Please note that this film is in French, with English subtitles.
