A play set during the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919. 30 000 workers walk off their jobs and shut down the city. The mounties are called in and there's violence. Interpersonal tensions abound.
Sounds like a fascinating show about a very important period in Canada's social history, which I absolutely love. I hope you can join me for this show!
For more information:
I notice from the website that two of the shows are ALREADY sold out, so it might be a good idea to call in advance to get tickets.
The show's at 2 pm, so let's meet at around 1:30pm in the lobby of the Timms Centre for the Arts. I'll be holding a small bouquet of flowers so that you can identify me.
Depending on how long the show runs, we can always grab dinner somewhere in the area afterwards.
