  • "The British are Coming! The British are Coming!" ... Two really interesting exhibits (I think) are opening @ the AGA this summer.

Water in to Art: British Watercolours includes sketches and paintings from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England. This is a "rare opportunity to view a rich selection of watercolours from the world-famous Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Featuring 100 artworks, this exhibition ranges from small sketches to fully realized work..."

The second exhibit is on a similar theme: 19th Century British Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada. Photographers "trained their lenses on a vast array of subject matter, including leisure activities of the upper class and the documentation of foreign places, especially the ruins of ancient civilizations such as those of Rome and Egypt. Photography was also used a tool of social reform—revealing the conditions of those who lived on the streets."

Go to the AGA website for Upcoming Exhibits:  http://www.youraga.ca/upcoming/.

Regular admission is $12.50 and Students/Seniors $8.50 (Note: receive $3 off when you present ETS bus pass or ticket/transfer). AGA members get in for free.

Sorry for the late cancellation. I am not able to host this event on Sunday. If anyone would like to take on hosting duties, I can re-open. Please let me know. Again, my apologies. Victoria

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
