Fiddler on the Roof
Timms Centre for the Arts, University of Alberta
(Corner of 87th Avenue and 112th Street)
This affectionately humorous portrait of life in a Jewish village in Tsarist Russia centres on Tevye, a milkman-philosopher and father of 5, as he tries to uphold tradition in an ever changing political and social landscape. This musical, full of recognizable tunes like “If I were a rich man” and “Sunrise, sunset”, illuminates universal themes of family struggle and human perseverance with humour, warmth and honesty.

** I suggest seating area 2, having looked at the map. I've never been to this location, however.
