My pleasure. Fantastic company, beautiful weather, wonderful music, blue glow sticks and free chocolate. My first time experiencing the ESO and I can't think of a better group to have spent the evening with. Thanks for coming out.

Considering the start time and when they are going to be opening the doors - we shall be going to be there between 5:15-5:30 pm. Even then I think there will be quite the line up. See you all later ...

Hi Sherri. That's not a bad idea. Let's just say, whoever gets there first can hold the line! Box office opens at 5pm. I'll try to get there earlier to be at the front. See you soon.

      August 31, 2013

    • Charmaine

BTW, anyone who would like to arrive earlier and keep us company is more than welcome. I'll be in a navy blue shirt with dark blue jeans and possible a pink fleece hoodie depending on the temperature. Look for the tiny Asian girl carrying 3 chairs and a knapsack and looking flustered and exhausted! Steve will be hanging out with Guy. LOL

    Howdy,

Looks like it's going to be clear, but cool tonight ranging from 20degC at 7pm to 16 degC by 10pm. I suggest everyone bring a warm sweater and/or jacket as it tends to get chilly on the grass once the evening dew falls. I'm also bringing a blanket and applying bug spray beforehand.

I plan to bring my dinner and a thermos with a hot drink in it so I can sip and munch away throughout the evenings performance. Actually, who am I kidding, I'll likely eat the dinner in line and sip my drink throughout the evening...LOL. The name of the game is to have fun and enjoy. So bring yourself, a picnic, munchies or money for the concession; whatever you like, just no pets, alcohol or rowdy moose!

And don't forget to check the above noted options about 3hrs before the performance for any venue changes. I don't anticipate this will happen given the current weather forecast, but this is Edmonton -- wink. Lets all have a great evening together and see you soon,
    Charmaine ^_^

Well I took too long to buy tickets to this one...instead I'm going to go to the Ray Charles/Motown celebration on Sunday.

Have my ticket on the grass. Charmaine, may I claim one of your spare lawn chairs?

    • Charmaine

      Hi Victoria. Absolutely.

      August 5, 2013

  • Steve G.

I'm in for grass seating...although we'll be risking sitting in a snow drift, non? Others are welcome to join us on the lawn.

If other members are interested in pavilion seating, how about scouting a section with alot of open seats and posting your seat # here so others can by tix close to you.

So are you thinking about the reserved seating in the amphitheatre? Or are you planning to bring blankets and stuff to sit on the grass???

    1 · July 30, 2013

    • Charmaine

Hi Sherri. It's your choice. I decided to take a walk on the wild side and get a ticket for the grass seating. The ESO doesn't offer group rates for these performances and most of the amphitheatre tickets have already been sold. Without knowing how many are going to attend in total, I figured I would leave it up to personal preference since the reserved seating is assigned for these performances -- you get to choose your seat when you choose reserved seating. You can bring your own chair if you choose grass seating, but it has to go on the left side of the amphitheatre. The right is reserved for blankets. I'll likely bring a chair and can bring another 2 if you or anyone else needs seating. First come, first serve, so you'll have to let me know in a post or e-mail. Hope this helps.
