Long weekends are made for silly fun, oui? Was walking by the Garneau a few years back and wandered into a screening of The Big Lebowski and the theatre was almost full - 500 seats. This movie was on the 'very' side of the silly fun.
"When “The Dude” Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) and Donny (Steve Buscemi) to help get it. This case of mistaken identity gets complicated by extortion, double-crosses, deception, embezzlement, sex, pot, and gallons of White Russians, and it soon seems that everyone from porn empire tycoons to nihilists want something from the Dude. “The Dude abides. I don’t know about you but we still take comfort in that.”
