RAGTIME, The Musical

Two ONE-WAY Tickets To Broadway Productions kicks of their 7th season with yet another Tony Award Winning musical. http://www.twoonewaytickets.com/

Called by Time Magazine 'A triumph for the stage' and by the International Herald Tribune 'the best musical in twenty years.' RAGTIME is not only a powerful portrait of life in turn-of-the-century America, but a relevant tale for today.

The musical intertwines the stories of three extraordinary families as they confront history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and what it means to live in America. With surprise appearances by iconics such as Houdini, Evelyn Nesbit, Emma Goldman, J.P. Morgan, Henry Ford and Booker T. Washington, this is a heady tale of love lost and won, lives lost and saved and a country struggling to define itself.

Running time is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 20 minute intermission.

There is one General Admission price of $28 (plus Tix fees). Tickets are available from Tix-On-The-Square by calling[masked] or online at http://www.tixonthesquare.ca/event/run/detail/595/.

Please plan to arrive between 6:45 and 7 pm for rush general seating. Meet in lobby of the theatre building (main floor).

Anyone interested in pre-show dinner, Glynis is hosting a round table event at the Bul-Go-Gi House (Korean food) from 5-6:45 pm.

The restaurant is less than 1/2 block from the theatre...2 min stroll. You can park your car and easily walk between this restaurant and the theatre.

Basic question: Is this production in French or English?

    October 25, 2012

    • Jennifer and A.

Good. My wife and daughters are fluent in French. I'm not. I usually fall asleep during the "foreign" films they drag me to.

Is this general seating, or reserved seating? Also, I'm going to a Halloween party at friends' place after this show, so I may or may not come in a costume of sorts. :D

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
