Let's admit it. We are surrounded! We are surrounded by so many food products that it takes an expert to get our bearings around. When we finally get it right it might be too late. Let's take few examples.
Daiya looks as an excellent product to replace cheese - is it? How about Soy milk? Is it processed or is it acceptable? What are the simple yardsticks to decide when a food product is too processed? Are there any processed products that are acceptable? These questions and many others are going to be explored in our next session.
This session is going to be special as it is designed as a workshop. Each member is encouraged to bring along one package (preferably empty) of a chosen food product. This package should include a label, ingredients and any messages from the company regarding its content. You can choose to bring a package to exemplify a processed food or on the other hand - a prepared food which you find acceptable and relatively unprocessed.
At the meeting we will discuss the different food products presented and if time allows - watch some short video clips about the topic - Processed Food: Bad or Worse?
We will proceed to a delicious buffet of healthy, unprocessed food prepared especially for this occasion. As usual, we will end with a draw. The winner will get a free dinner kindly contributed by Padmanadi restaurant. Double your chance to win by simply RSVP. You will get 2 tickets instead of one. Please make sure that you mentioned in your RSVP all the guests you bring along to the event - they will get double tickets as well.
See you all a day before Labour Day...
So...RSVP NOW and don't forget to bring a guest and a food package!
