Gamification of Learning

This first event for Educelerate LA will be kept rather informal and "open mic" given the wealth of EdTech and gaming knowledge that already exists within this group.

If you wish to introduce your company, interests or simply meet others it will be a great opportunity!  Special thanks to Brent Bushnell for hosting the event at the Big Top.

What a great group of people who are doing amazing things for education. I was blown away by the diversity of the group's projects. I can't wait to see what this group comes up with together.

Had a wonderful time! Thank you to those who organized and participated in the conversation! It was wonderful to be in a room of people who really care about education. Looking forward to connecting with each of you and supporting each in their vision! We have a few events coming up I mentioned that you are all invited to and would love if you sent to those you think would enjoy/benefit! October 6: Global Day of Play
We're going to be at IndieCade hosting a Caine's Arcade Cardboard Challenge! We'll have an area to display the cardboard games that Playmaker students have built and an area for IndieCade attendees to build their own cardboard games! Here's a link to IndieCade and video to check out Caine's Arcade if you are not familiar with it - it's a beautiful story.

I have just asked the folks at Knowledge Adventure about joining the panel. Does anyone have any further ideas on potential panelists? I'd be happy to email contacts at the big local video game publishers to see if there is anyone focused on educational gaming (Activision, Blizzard, etc.)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
