MySQL Security: More than just ACL's

For our next meeting we will have Sheeri Cabral, the organizer of the Boston MySQL meetup joining us. Sheeri is a long term MySQL community contributor, author and organizer of the OurSQL podcast for MySQL.

6:45pm Meet and Greet. Pizza provided by our sponsor Datagram - Offering dedicated servers,  managed servers and colocation hosting

7:00pm Presentation

Securing MySQL includes proper use of ACL’s, but that is only part of MySQL security. Learn from a leading MySQL expert about the other parts of MySQL security – from operating system files and permissions, how to run MySQL as a secure daemon, how to fight against cross-site scripting (XSS) and SQL injection, and how to perform white-hat Google hacking of MySQL.
