Update 12/22:

Just a quick update regarding next week’s 2nd Annual EAMC Holiday Music Party and Fundraiser…

The response to this event has been great so far, and we’re looking forward to a fun-filled evening with lots of fantastic performances and collaborations – all for a very worthy cause!*  We do still have room for a few more performers, so If you’re interested in sharing your musical talents, it' not too late!

Confirmed performers (as of 12/22)  include Nicole Cochran · Gerry & Olga · Dave Haynie · Rowena Hess · Morph The Cat · Novo Rodeo · Helen O’Shea · Garry Pearsall · PiFight · Skye Van Saun

Even if you choose not to perform, there will also be several sing-along opportunities for all audience members, as well as a special performance by all of the kids who attend the event!  There will even be an "After-Party Music Jam" led by our friends "Morph The Cat".

*As a reminder, All proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit the Princeton Elks Special Children’s Fund, featuring Camp Moore, offering a fun-filled vacation away from home for children with special needs.

Please support this event through not only your own attendance, but also by inviting/bringing your friends, family, neighbors or anyone else!

Sunday December 29th from 2:00PM to 5:00 PM

The Princeton Elks Lodge, 354 Rt 518, Blawenburg, NJ                                       Suggested Contribution: $10.00 per person ($5.00 for children 12 and under)

This was our most successful event last year. We look forward to an even bigger and more fun celebration this year!

We’re very excited about this year’s holiday party and fundraiser and are looking forward to lots of  great performances, collaborations and socializing.

To help ensure that all  interested members have a chance to perform, we ask that you submit up to 3 songs that you’d like to perform, along with your name, songs in ranked order, approximate duration (if possible), and name(s) of other collaborators (if applicable).

As a reminder, the event will take place from 2:00–5:00 PM and participants must be available throughout that time period.  Participants will be guaranteed at least 2 songs, however, you may be able to perform your 3rd song depending on the final number of confirmed participants.

Song choices must be submitted by no later than 12/23/13.  If you wish to participate but don’t yet know the specific songs you would like to perform, you may request that a spot be reserved for you (without song titles), however if the specific songs are not submitted by the 12/23 deadline, those members who have submitted songs will take priority.  Performance slots will be filled on  first come, first serve basis, so we encourage you to respond ASAP.  Preliminary schedule will published by no later than Thursday Dec 26, with final schedule to be posted on 12/28.

The recordings site is updated, see here:

I have everything from last summer up there now, working on the November get-together now. Reorganized web site to make it easier to find a particular event, with links back to the event pages too.

If anyone has a recording of Helen's set from November, I'm missing that (I was still setting up when she started), and would love to include it if someone can send me a couple of MP3s (or any other format).

The Princeton Elks Lodge is a fantastic facility. The musical performances were wonderful and we raised some $ for special needs children. What's not to like?

Thanks for a fun afternoon, everyone! With your help, and a match from Merrill Lynch, we raised over $1,000...that's enough to send two kids in need to Elks Camp Moore this summer!

We hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and excited about Sunday's big party! We are planning to close the program with a special ensemble/holiday jam segment and invite everyone - whether or not you have signed up for a time slot - to participate in it. We should have time for 2-3 ensemble songs - and will post chord sheets in advance (and will have copies at the party) so we are all working on the same page. One very good suggestion that our carolers performed at Merwick (with Jay Posapanko nailing the mandolin) was John Lennon's "Happy Xmas." Any other suggestions? - ("Feliz Navidad" or Blue Christmas" perhaps? The top suggestions will be included in the program.
