Everyone,

It is really exciting watching this all come together.  We are getting lots of interests from the folks at the Elks, so hopefully we will be able to raise loads of money for Sandy relief.

Steve Georges and Row Hess have volunteered to lead the two kids' Sing-Alongs - we hope everyone will join in!  The music list is filling out, and everything from Elvis to Enya is represented.  Check out the new updated sign-up sheet posted today.

We still need volunteers to help out in the kid's corner: adults and teens needed for approx one hour slots. We will have games, coloring sheets, etc.

Also - we need plenty of food.  Please start posting to the event discussion with what you will be bringing. I could use 2 or 3 people to keep an eye on the tables, to refill chips etc. and generally keep them from looking like a disaster area.-

Please consider attending this event, and bringing your friends and family.  There is no limit on the number of guests you can bring to the Elks Lodge, and almost no limit to the need for the money we can raise.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions

Rachel

Thanksgiving is Over and Black Friday Come and Gone. It's time to start thinking about the Winter Music Party and FUNDRAISER for Sandy Relief.  Please consider attending this event, and bringing your friends and family.  This is the time to invite those friends you have been meaning to see over the holidays.
There is no limit on the number of guests you can bring to the Elks Lodge, and almost no limit to the need for the money we can raise.
Please check the meet-up site or the current sign-up sheet (More\Files).  There is some pretty cool music already planned, and plenty of room for more.  Both Steve and I have posted our own song suggestion lists.
We still need volunteers for the following:
- Leader for 2nd Children's sing-along (Steve Georges is doing the 1st) from 4:30 - 4:45
- Helping out in the kid's corner: adults and teens needed for approx one hour slots
- Someone to manage the potluck (keep track of who is bringing what; communicate needs to attendees; organize tables at events)
Thank you so much
Rachel

Big News!!  We are now partnering with the Elks to make this a FUNDRAISER for people affected by Superstorm Sandy!!!
We have priced this event to make it possible for everyone to attend!  Please note that all adults get our "discount" price, and that there is a max per family.
Sunday, Dec 30th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the  Princeton Elks Lodge
$10 per person - Children 10 and under free  - Maximum Cost per Family (up to 2 adults plus kids 11-17) = $25
Potluck Holiday Treats – Savory & Sweet
Activities & a Sing-along for the Kids
Music by Members of the EA Musician’s Collaborative
Bring Some Food to Share & Join in the Fun!
This event is a little different that prior events.  We will still have a music sign-up sheet, and we will still have our normal mix of performance and jam.  We will also have a "Kid's Corner" and a special sing-along for them. This is the perfect event to bring your friends and extended family.  It will be fun, and for a really good cause.
This is a larger event, because the Elks are included, so volunteers are needed (both from EA and the Elks): set-up (including some decorations); generous contributions to the potluck; donate some time to the kid’s corner; help with the kid’s sing-along; clean-up and equipment breakdown.
The Elks' bar will be open, so NO ALCOHOL can be brought to the event from outside - just food.
Sign-up sheets for music and for the potluck will be available soon.  Contact Rachel Henk directly if you or family members (especially teens) can also volunteer.
You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
Rachel
