June 29th Event Signups

Hello friends and fellow musical collaborators,

It's your friendly neighborhood community organizer again writing to say we are a little over a week away from our 1st Annual Summer Music party and I'm saddened to see that only a handful of time slots have been taken.   We want to hear the sound of music -  NOT CRICKETS!

You remember what happened last time, when members got closed out.  Don't delay or you may be disappointed.

It has come to my attention that some members did not realize that they were not restricted to playing summer music.  You may certainly play traveling or road songs.   In fact to get performing juices going, I have compiled a list of some of my favorite travel and road songs on Spotify.  It is a collaborative list, which means Spotify users may feel free to add songs to the playlist.

Here's the link:

We will also be featuring more jamming opportunities this time around with members of PiFight, Morph the Cat and friends such as Rich Volk (a talented bass player),  Jeff Friedman, and Helen O'Shea.

We will have a PA, lots of mikes and monitors, basic guitar rigs, several electronic keyboards, and two drum sets!  You may use our gear, but please, take better care of it than you would your own.

I would like to also introduce everyone to Jay Polasanko.  I spoke with him a few days ago. He is a very talented and nice keyboard player with band experience and a first timer at the Collaborative.  He is looking for opportunities to play on the 29th - so if you need a piano playing accompanist,  please feel free to reach out to him.

This is also a good event to invite friends and family to attend.  So spread the word -  And please RSVP!

Chop chop!
