This is a collaborative community for passionate hobby musicians, singers, and songwriters in the greater Princeton NJ area who need to play and share their music with others, just as they need air.
Most members of this group are eclectic individuals who already have busy professional/family/personal lives, but who also crave the opportunity to meet and potentially collaborate with other local musicians.
Our community has both regular organized "large tent" events, with musical themes, often held at the Arts Council of Princeton. We also encourage "meet-ups between the meet-ups" - smaller collaborations or fun musical gatherings put together by the members themselves. Our goal is to foster all type of musical collaborations/projects.
ONLY COLLABORATIVE MEMBERS MAY PRE-REGISTER FOR EVENTS. We welcome "at the door" admissions, so long as space is available.
Themes so far have included: "Beatles & The British Invasion"; "What the Heck is the Song?" (one hit wonders; obscure music and original works); Christmas Caroling at Merwick Care Center; "Musicals of Screen and Stage / Great American Songbook," as well as a very successful Holiday Fundraiser to Sandy Relief.
Our next event, on February 22nd, is an evening dedicated to "Singer Songwriters," broadly defined to include any singer who performs music they actually have a significant role in writing. We will be back at the Arts Council in Princeton, and hope to see you there!
