It's time to get together again for some beer, pizza and ElasticSearch.
This time, Anne Veling (@anneveling) will give a talk about his work with nested documents. In his words:
"A key part of the architecture of RefWorks Flow, a new document workflow tool for researchers, is an ElasticSearch cluster used for citation canonicalization. We will present our findings of how to use the "nested" type and parent-child relations in ElasticSearch to do complex where-clause queries in an efficient way."
Anne is a great presenter, so expect in-depth discussions and fun.
This time I want to try a new format for the meetup. A good friend pointed out that the crowd showing up for the meetups represents the best collective knowledge about ElasticSearch in NL*. It's a shame not to use the opportunity to put it to good use.
So, after the presentation we will reserve 30 minutes for anyone to present problems they are facing and get feedback from other users (and any attending ES employees). Please take some time to think in advance about good subjects.
As in the last time, inSided has graciously offered to host the meetup. ElasticSearch will sponsor the beer and pizza. We gather at 18:30. Main presentation starts at 19:00.
* When Shay is abroad, that is :)
