I stood in line EARLY, under age, waiting for the club to open so I could DANCE, not get on a VIP list, or pose for photos, or ruin my credit on $600 bottles of liquor, or sit on a couch....I danced till the dawn every weekend, on "my block", with my friends (DJs, club kids, drag queens). I never heard the same song twice in one night (and never a song from the radio, like today). Club nights went from 9pm till at least 6am, not midnight to 3am like today. I saw ALL ages and lifestyles in the club: black, white, gay, straight, transgender, young, old, rich, poor & everything in between. Why? THE MUSIC. It created an accepting COMMUNITY where everyone gathered to DANCE, meet, have fun. It also helped that the clubs I went to were owned by people who cared about their guests as PEOPLE, not as dollar signs.
I want everyone - no matter your age or lifestyle - to come together and DANCE. Without judgement. Without fear. Without stress. Feel the Music. Live in the Moment. Dance your cares away, and be yourself. You must have a love and passion for HOUSE, TRANCE, EDM, DANCE and COMMUNITY. But if you don't (yet), I'll help get you there! I'm thrilled to meet all of you! #TakeBackTheScene #SupportTheScene #GiveBackTheScene #LiveInTheMoment #GetYourLife
