Sundays we get together from 11:00 to 1:00pm at The Actors Center and Play short form improv games.
Have fun with the classic improv games made popular by Who's Line Is It Anyway and similar shows.
Learning games you may not have heard of before.
Exploring games that the group has made up.
While we are family friendly in general, the material is geared for folks 13 and older.
Further info about our "typical" Sundays:
Beginners are absolutely welcome. The workshop is set up as a 2 hour class. The first 30 minutes are fun warm up exercises. We round out hour one with some basic improv technique exercises designed for beginners but are always useful for experiences actors.
The second hour is just learning and playing improv games, such as those played in Theatersports, ComedySportz, Who's line is it anyway?, ETC. We try to be inclusive as possible and we never pressure anyone to perform if they don't want to, but we do typically perform for each other in the group in the second half.
