Tales of the 13th Age: The Folding of Screamhaunt Castle

Hey all - there IS a new 13th Age game that has been sent out, but it's a one-shot Halloween special for 3rd level characters.

I don't have the time this week to make up 3rd level pre-gens, but if you want to create some one shot characters, and can swing noon-4 pm this Saturday  I'll try and put it on for folks - assuming there is enough interest.

Otherwise we'll take the week off and start up again in 2 weeks with the new adventure.

As it says on this tin....

The Folding of Screamhaunt Castle is a 3rd level adventure, so if you have an existing 2nd level 13th Age character that you want to level up then fine … but warning - this is a horror style 13th Age game and terrible things can and will happen to your character. If anybody objects to that then they should play a one-shot character. In fact I’d recommend one-shot characters for this adventure - you get to try something new and really get put through the wringer. If you survive intact then you’ll have an adventurer with some really interesting stories.

A brief look over the adventure shows that they are channeling the remakes of House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts, with a little Rocky Horror mixed in to the mash up.

Take a look at my reply to Don - I am confirming the event at Elgin to make sure of our options.

But what is better for folks - as is, moving to noon, or waiting until the 9th?

Assuming we get enough people signed up to actually run it...I'd be fine with starting earlier. In fact, I guess I'd prefer that too.

OK, I'm changing it to noon and see if that makes a difference. If it plays as they say, we should be out of there by 4pm and I can make the second half of my meeting.

I thought it was changed to 2PM. Is it confirmed @ 4?

You weren't there Weds when I told folks I was pushing later this Saturday due to an event scheduled at the store. Plus I have a conflict from 2 pm to 7 pm, so I pushed to 4 pm so I can make an appearance and then cut out early to run the game.

Though now it seems that the event is no longer on the Gaming Goat calendar for Elgin... Should we start earlier? If we start around noon I could show up late to my other event. Or hold off for next week? I need to verify that the GG is open that early and no event, but maybe we could start earlier?

I won't be able to make it due to a conference, but if anyone needs a 3rd lv. pregen I can whip one up if you tell me the class you want to play.

Email and PDF's are wonderful things, but that works as well.
