What kind of movies most interest you and does it include movies prior to 1990?

My preference is towards the drama/sci-fi realm but I am all over the place. From Hitchcock to Ron Howard and more, I run the gambit. Shawshank Redemption is probably my most current favorite, although the new Star Trek movies have my interest. I can also watch animated Disney movies (Song of the South is one of my favorites, I know real people are in that one too!), and some musicals (as long as it's not on the operatic side of things).

Do you prefer a steady hosting location? if no, would you be willing to host?

I figured on doing a lot of the hosting to start off but I would like to shift it around once and a while. My only thought would be if someone is going to host for movies that they have the television and sound system to rival the movie theater experience with room for at least 10 people.

When game nights are planned, would you have a preference to card games, board games, or doesn't matter?

The types of games don't really matter to me, I like most games I've played. Depending on the amount of people who participate, I could see there being more than one game going on at the same time. My rule of thumb would be that if there's six or less people than a game should be played that all can participate in.

My name is Steve and I've always enjoyed a good movie and talking with friends about it after. I thought it would be interesting to have a group where the discussion would actually be an expected part of the meetup.

What Stephen R. is saying about this Meetup Group

I am glad that I started this meetup. It's exactly the experience I was looking for and I hope to see the people who attended again in the future!
