It's been too long since we've gotten together; this event is an opportunity for everyone to get reacquainted or introduced to the Ember community we are trying to foster in Denver.
Since our last meet up, Cirro has undergone quite a bit of change and we're sorry to say that it has been difficult to organize the Ember meet ups. We moved into a new office in December, changed some of the core technologies we build on, and have been tracking down bigger and better projects that we can use Ember with. That being said, we're finally getting our rhythm back and are excited to get everyone together again.
Just this evening I met with some of the members of the group (Alex, Bobby and Christian) who all recently returned from Ember conf, and who are also excited to see the Ember community grow in Denver.
To accomplish this, we felt a good place to start is with some more informal hack nights / meet and greets where we can help beginners but also discuss bigger ideas and goals for the Denver Ember community itself.
Though we're a small group, and have been working toward building a community that meets regularly, I feel like now is a better time to start building traction. Ember is really blowing up, we have more people interested in helping and supporting the meet up, and I think this can be a great resource for beginners, seasoned vets, and companies looking to hire employees and contractors for Ember projects in the region.
TL;DR We're having a hack night at Cirro. All skill levels are welcome, and we'll have resident hackers available to help out with whatever you're working on. No hacking necessary though, and it can be a night just to get together and talk about whatever we'd like to!
