Monthly Silent Gathering

Taking time to quiet the mind can be difficult.  Practicing with others helps. Following the suggested format of a “silent group” offered by Eckhart Tolle, we begin with 20 minutes of silence (silent meditation), followed by an audio or video, and then another period silent meditation.   Optional tea and refreshments will be served following the meditation for those that are interested.  All discussion will be reserved for after the meditation.

Date / Time : Third Thursday of Every Month from 7:12 to 8:30 p.m. (please be on time)
Cost :  Suggested Donation of $5
Location : Unity of Bellevue  Map

"Stillness is your essential nature. What is stillness? The inner space or awareness in which the words on this page are being perceived and become thoughts. Without that awareness, there would be no perception, no thoughts, no world.

When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world."  Stillness Speaks Chapter 1

I am unable to attend due to schedule, but, I wanted to invite you all to participate in a survey which I hope will cultivate peace. I am helping interview people for a project that will be presented by an associate to the United Nations, at the International Day of Peace on September 21. The project asks, 'If you could create an all-new world, what you would want?'. It would be wonderful to have your vision represented by answering 4 questions (survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/53T32RW; video overview: http://youtu.be/Ex8m6ycO2nw) and for you to share the survey for friends, family, and co-workers to answer by end of day Saturday. The survey allows for anonymity. If you would like a printable copy to share with those without Internet access, please let me know. Thank you for your help!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
