What made you want to join the Emerging Christianity Conversation? What topic are interested in?

As the daughter of two Assemblies of God ministers I have a strong Pentecostal background. Though I never lost faith or belief in God, I distanced myself from evangelical Christianity for many years because of a disconnect between my understanding of God/spirituality and the practice I was raised in. In recent years, I've returned to a more progressive and personal expression of faith, and am interested in meeting others with similar journeys and sensitivities. My interests are wide-ranging - from theology, to creativity to worship to comparative religions - I feel that I can grow and learn from and in many different ways.

What's a good place to meet in DC: Cleveland Park, U Street, Capitol Hill or Dupont Circle?

U Street or Dupont Circle are ideal.

What's a good day to meet? Tues, Wed, Thurs., or Sunday night?

Anything but Wednesday works well.

Hi! I'm a California native who has lived in DC for the last 15 years or so, working in international advocacy. I abandoned a strong Pentecostal background for many years before recently seeking a more progressive Christian practice.
