What made you want to join the Emerging Christianity Conversation? What topic are interested in?

How and do I even need to retain my identity as a Christian? Especially since that has become associated with many things I do not represent. What if believers in God just called themselves believers? Why do we need to belong to "a group"?I almost think it would be better if all believers just stopped labeling themselves or identifying with this group or that group and just came together to LIVE like the followers of Jesus we claim to be..the world would be an incredibly different place. As it is most Christians I have ever known, from all denominations, and walks of life are either living to fellowship with other Christians or living to convince others, in all sorts of actions and words, that "we" have the true way to God and eternity. This attitude fundamentally causes a deep seated pride and exclusive posture.I have found that if I just build on my personal relationship with God not only am I transformed but those around me are too!Why do we make it so complicated and divisive

What's a good place to meet in DC: Cleveland Park, U Street, Capitol Hill or Dupont Circle?

Whatever is closest to 66!:)

What's a good day to meet? Tues, Wed, Thurs., or Sunday night?

Almost any night.

I have been a Christian more than 35 years and have found a deep, personal, loving and real relationship with God.The trouble is Im not sure I want to carry the label Christian any more, it's so much more and so much less than what it often represents.
