For years, I have felt that there should be more to church than just ritual and institution. I have felt that if we tear down the instution and start over again, we will just end up building it up again. The answer was not going to be something new. I search outside the Christian faith. The journey has been enligthening but not fulfilling. I decided to search the internet and perhaps I would find a group. I saw the advertisment for Diana Butler Bass and looked at the reviews of her book on Amazon and knew that this was for me. Topics I am insterested in? The Changing Christianity and anything else about Christianity. As far as I knew, I didn't know that it was changing Changing Christianity. Somehow, I missed the train. Great to know that there are others that feel as I do.

I am elementary teacher originally from Texas. I have lived in the DC Metro area since 2004.
I am impressed with the time and effort that Glenn puts into the meetings. I expected to go and listen to Diana and ask or listen to questions being ask and maybe hang around and talk to some people and go home. What I got was an organized format that was nonthreatening and promoted friendly discussions. The questions, though quite long-winded that Glenn wrote (lol) were great for getting groups to interact. I discovered that I am not alone in my beliefs. Not only did I hang around afterwards, I continued to my conversation out the door. Defintely glad I attended and will attend more meetups in the future.
