Thinking aloud... anyone representing EPyC as cheerleaders. I see a good reason why it would be good to have em near the 10k half way point.

haha don't go to fast than!... :)
I ll try. I know I should run a little slower than the speed of light... :)
I wish I could like the like(s)...:)
FYI, think all the roads leading to Dubai Mall will be closed at 5am, better to park at another metro and take the metro to Dubai mall stop. I will take my bike and park & ride!

Metro doesn't usually open until much later on Friday mornings!
Guys, i think the best is to park next the dubai mall/ burj khalifa metro station but on the abudhabi direction side. Then we can cross the metro bridge across the SZR (the metro/pedestrian bridges should remain open?) How does that sound?

Anyone driving from bur dubai ?
Much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, when the metro system is closed, you can't use the footbridges to cross the street. (Don't ask me why they implemented this rule...)

Nitin, that's the info I got :If you are travelling by car plan your trip. Avoid parking in the immediate area of Downtown Dubai. There are many accessible areas to park around Sheikh Zayed Road coming from Abu Dhabi and from the Bur Dubai direction. The two walkways across Sheikh Zayed Road at the Business Bay Metro Station and the Dubai Mall Metro Station will be open on the morning of the race providing the opportunity for participants and spectators to park on the Safa Park side of Sheikh Zayed Road with direct access to the back of the start and to the Burj Park.
I see they have put up information on the website to this effect. I stand corrected!
I am part of 10 km categry in this marathon ;)
